Okay,

So I just finished reading this book... And I did enjoy it!

I first came across this series several months ago when I was waiting for Fallen Eden by Nicole Williams to be released. I thought, Oh what the heck, it's $.99, why not give it a try! Well, let me tell you, I was glad that I gave it a try. I enjoyed it so much that I continued w/the second book Eternity, and then was surprised a couple of days ago when I discovered that Reckoning was out! I put another book that I was reading on hold, just to read this one!

I really liked Magdalene's character in all 3 books! This book especially. She is so committed to her cause to protect those she loves that she really doesn't care what happens to her. She is very independent, but she still NEEDS Eran! I enjoyed that we get to experience A LOT more of her and Eran's relationship in this one. He is definitely more open about "PDA" in this one, and for that I am thankful!

I like what Laury Falter did here! Every time that she explained something that Magdalene was feeling (especially when it was about Eran!), you (or I would) feel it as well. The butterflies in her stomach or the giddiness when ever he made some kind of physical contact w/her or when he gave her that special smirk!

I really enjoy that you do get the "story" to Abbadon & his "followers" and why it is that they are truly after Magadalene. I like that it's a quick but thorough explanation of it (if that even makes any sense). All in all, it doesn't disappoint, or at least, it didn't disappoint me!

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely. Is it for anyone and everyone? I don't know, but I definitely enjoyed!

Operation: Christmas Hearts

Operation: Christmas Hearts
I was offered this book in exchange for an honest review. So, here it goes:

If you know me, then you know that my brother served in the military (Operation: Iraqui Freedom)... I became close with alot of his friends as well... Well, this story brought back ALOT of sweet memories...

The book was exactly what I expected and more. I enjoy that you can indulge yourself in a good healthy clean read with this book. I wasn't able to put the book down once I started reading it!

I fell in love with Nick Turner. He is so thoughtful and caring; he is so comitted to what he sets his mind to. The trials that he has had to go through really do something to your soul. I can't imagine what it must be like to not be able to share your life with someone because of privacy issue.  And Ashley, well she just has a spunk to her that I can enjoy. I like that the story is told from 2 different POV and that they narrate it as a memory from their past. There was just so much good chemistry between these characters!

This book did have a "magical" touch to it, but didn't go overboard.

All in all, I really did like this book. I definitely would recommend it to anyone.

Blood Rites

What can I say about this book. WOW!!! I was again, impressed by this book and the author. Quinn definitely has not disappointed me as a reader... I loved the story line... Kind of scary with the psycho stalking Jacque and not letting her complete the bonding w/Fane... We finally get to meet Jacques dad and what his intentions are for her...
Of course, my MOST favorite part of the whole book: Jenn & Decebal... Aghhhh!!! I can't get enough of their back and forth banter... Such a nice and interesting twist for these characters... I absolutely LOVED Decebal's "bi-polar" attitude with Jenn... I was totally swooning over him! I did nothing but laugh out loud and cry with this book... Several times my daughter came up to me and asked what was so funny when she caught me laughing at something in the book... This book definitely sets up a good story line for Just One Drop... I can't wait for this one... I keep telling myself, just a couple more months until my thirst for reading this series can be appeased!!! I cannot wait!!!

It's been a while...

So, it's been a while since I've been on... I usually get on to keep track of all the new books that are coming out and of course to read them. I haven't had any time to write any of the many reviews that I've been wanting to...
My life has been a little bit of a rollercoaster these past couple of weeks. It seems like the only thing that helps me relax is reading... The only constant thing around here is my family... I love coming home to my kids and knowing that they absolutely love me unconditionally... I love how my son greets me everytime that I walk thru the door from work... My daughter, well she seems to think that I need to bring her a snack from work every day, almost to make up for the fact that I've been at work for the last 10 hrs... Try convincing a 3 yr otherwise...
Anyways, I've been lagging with my sewing projects... I'm such a horrible person. My neighbor had her baby 4 months ago, and I still haven't given her a homemade blanket... And one of the parents at Carmen's school had her baby a month ago... I need to make a car seat cover for her, and of course, I still haven't started on that one... And of course, a blanket for sweet baby Samuel that is expected around Christmas (that would be my nephew that's on his way)... My mother-in-law keeps saying that he and Chuck were friends in Heaven, and that he didn't want to stay behind alone so he decided to follow right behind him... hahaha... Cute!!!
Well, this should be ok for right now... I will keep trying to update this and of course write my little punie reviews... (I think those are more for my benefit since I forget what I've read most of the time, unless it's an awesome book that I can't get enough of so I read and re-read it several times...)

Deep Blue Secret

I actually just finished reading this book yesterday... I was soo intrigued by it and the characters...

Sadie is such a likeable girl... Everyone loves and adores her... But something seems off with her and she doesn't know what it is... She meets this mysterious handsome HOT guy and she immediately falls for him.. She can't stop thinking about him... He's always there for her when she's in trouble...

Rayne (the HOT guy) is so caring... He is gentle with Sadie and is always there for her... There is such an intensity between them, but they both know that they can't act on it... He has too many secrets that he can't share with her... Sadie is ok with it, as long as she can hang out with him...

I like the fact that it didn't have anything to do with Vampires or Warewolves... Don't get me wrong, I like both of them, but it's nice to read something different. And this is what this book is. Different... It's very clean... There is such a mystery to it... I was oh so excited to learn more about Sadie and what is so special about her... I do have the admit, the ending is such a "WHAT???? Are you seriously ending it like this???" It leaves you intrigued and wanting more. I am definitely looking forward to reading the second book in this series... Now that I know that Rayne LOVES Sadie, I can't wait to see what will happen next...

Prince of Wolves

So, Prince of Wolves... Yeah... I absolutely LOVED it!!!
Jacque meets the mysterious Fane from Romania... She freaks out because she can hear HIS voice in her head! Ouch... She thinks she's loosing her mind, until he explains that she is like his soul mate and that is why they can communicate with each other... How cool is that, to be able to just look into your mate's mind and talk to them privately... No using text messages, emails or phones calls...
Anyways, I enjoyed the book very much... I definitely enjoyed Jacques best friends Sally & Jen... Those girls are insane...Those girls are hillarious... They are so nosy and very perky... Always on top of things, especially when it pertains to Fane and Jacque... Jen is awesome with her personality... I think she is what every girl wants in a best friend... She has a spunk to her... The setting is what makes it more interesting... I LOVE that Southern drawl that the girls have...
I enjoyed reading/watching as Fane & Jacque's relationship grows... She realizes that she can't be without him and that she really really wants him... I mean, who wouldn' fall for the Romanian Hunk that drives a motorcycle?... Right??? I know I would in a heart beat ;) ... I really enjoyed this book... I can't wait for the release of Blood Rites!!! It will be interesting to see the turn of events in the next book... You know it's bound to be interesting...
